Providing electrical power in a reliable, clean and cost-effective manner is a challenge for many industries as off-grid IoT devices, surveillance, telecommunication and for aerial & ground drones. Our obtainable market is estimated at 1.1B CHF and growing quickly.
As a spin-off from EPFL & HEIG-VD, we use a patented approach to miniaturize Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) system for small-sized and mobile applications. SOFC technology can use many types of fuels: butane, natural gas, biogas and hydrogen. Our impact is <140 to 600g of CO2 / kWh vs up to 1'700g of CO2 / kWh for classic fossil fuel systems. Our compact design and the use of high energy density fuel allow us to provide systems up to 90% lighter, with 20x more energy density compare to Li-batteries at an affordable cost.
