Engineers that push the boundaries of lightweight design in satellites, medical prosthetics, drones, automotive and other areas love working with carbon fiber materials because of its extraordinary high strength to weight ratio. However, they currently face two problems:

1. Prototyping and low volume production is time-consuming and extremely expensive;

2. Conventional manufacturing methods strongly restrict geometric complexity of a design.
