Atlas photonics is a spin-off of the University of Fribourg, and was created in 2005 by scientists from the Faculty of Science. With the support of various private and public institutions, it was incorporated and started its commercial operation in 2006. The close proximity of the Plateau de Pérolles, the Fribourg Scientific Park, is a clear asset for Atlas Photonics, thus benefiting from a highly multidisciplinar scientific environment. Its core product is the LUMOS photoreactor.
