CARBON DELTA is a boutique research firm that specializes in identifying and analyzing the climate change resilience of publicly traded companies. We have developed a proprietary evaluation system that helps investors assess climate risks in their portfolios. We identify how much a company’s value is possibly affected by climate change.
Carbon Delta's goal is to alert investors of the climate risk profiles of companies, uncovering a systemic risk embedded within the financial system, which, until now, has been under-researched and overlooked. We conduct comprehensive computations of the climate change risks of equity investments, focusing on transition as well as physical risks by calculating a new climate change risk metric known at the Climate Value-at-Risk (“Climate VaR”) for thousands of companies. Carbon Delta has identified five core risk factors for calculating a company's overall Climate VaR: regulations, technology, extreme weather, climate trends and the Paris Agreement's 2°C target.
