Clee Medical raises Seed funding for real-time brain imaging

Clee Medical, a Swiss neurotechnology startup, has closed its Seed financing round to accelerate the development of its real-time intraoperative brain imaging platform, Neuro Access. The round was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), with participation from Zürcher Kantonalbank, Kickfund, FONGIT, and Venture Kick, alongside continued support from its partner Wyss Geneva.

The medtech startup Clee Medical secures Seed financing to advance real-time brain imaging for neurosurgery. The financing will support product development, clinical validation, and regulatory preparation, enabling Clee Medical to bring its Neuro Access platform closer to clinical use. The technology offers ultra-high-resolution, real-time imaging for minimally invasive brain procedures, helping neurosurgeons navigate delicate structures with precision. By addressing anatomical shifts and limited intraoperative visibility, Neuro Access aims to improve targeting during stereotactic procedures, supporting applications in functional neurosurgery and neuro-oncology.

Built on years of translational research, the Venture Kick winner, Venture Leaders Medtech participant, and Top100 Swiss Startup Clee Medical plans to expand its development and clinical programs, with the first in-human study as a key milestone. This Seed round represents a critical step in the company’s move from preclinical development toward clinical translation. With a strong European investor syndicate and ongoing collaboration with Wyss Geneva, Clee Medical is advancing toward a future where neurosurgeons operate with enhanced real-time insight, improving safety and outcomes for patients undergoing complex brain procedures.
