Congratulations! ESA BIC Switzerland Celebrates Breadth of Swiss Space Startups

01.10.2019 00:00, Joseph Heaven

ESA BIC Switzerland hosted its third demo day celebrating the successes of the country's rocket-science startups, confirmed the advancement of five teams for the second phase of its support, and called for the next batch of space-entrepreneurs to apply for EUR 200,000-boosts for their startups.

ESA BIC Switzerland welcomed more than 150 startup founders, program partners and investors for the Zurich demo day. Entrepreneurs networked with the program partners and enjoyed an inspiring keynote by Martin Polak from Planet.
The business incubation center housed in ETH Zurich currently offers support for 20 Swiss startups transferring technology between earth, orbit and beyond, while program alums such as Insolight and ANYbotics already make headlines worldwide. Venturelab and Venture Kick are ESA BIC Switzerland partners supporting program operations.

ESA BIC Switzerland recently congratulated five projects for passing midterm reviews that allow them to access the second level of financial, technical and business support. The latest incubatees included Venture Kick winners GRZ Technologies, Polariton Technologies and Neural Concept, as well as Venture Leaders alum Cysec Systems (ex. ARCATrust).
