The former Venture Leader has secured CHF850,000 of investment, adding to the CHF100,000 seed loan from the Foundation for Technological Innovation announced last month.
Creal3D’s breakthrough is the creation of a virtual reality/mixed reality display that allows the user to change focus naturally, eliminating eye strain and conflict between real and virtual images.
The financing raised will support further product development.
Founder Tomas Sluka was on the Venture Leaders Technology team that flew to Silicon Valley earlier this year. He said: “Venturelab was our true first door to the startup world. When we decided to convert our idea into business, we were entirely blind. All we needed to hear was the word ‘Venturelab’. We attended their free evening trainings, after which the information, opportunities, contacts, visibility and our readiness to present business idea simply exploded. Later we were part of practically all programs backed by Venturelab and its sibling VentureKick, which moved us very rapidly to the first financing round.”
The Swiss ICT Investor Club contributed CHF480,000, with the rest coming from private investors including Atmosclear Investments and business angel Jari Ovaskainen.
