Decentriq secures USD 5 million in venture debt financing from Silicon Valley Bank

03.11.2022 12:00, Morgane Ghilardi

Decentriq, a Swiss enterprise SaaS platform providing a secure and compliant data clean room platform, announced today that it has received USD 5 million in venture debt funding from Silicon Valley Bank UK. This leads to a total of USD 25 million in funding for Decentriq after its Series A earlier this year. The company participated in the Venture Leaders Technology program in 2021 and was named one of the TOP 100 Swiss Startups in 2021 and 2022.

Decentriq’s enterprise SaaS platform allows users to easily and securely collaborate with stakeholders, internal or external, to derive new data value. In recent months, Decentriq announced collaborations with multiple media and pharma companies that are leveraging Decentriq’s data clean room platform powered by confidential computing.

Microsoft reported on Decentriq’s work with Roche and Ringier in September. In the same month, Goldbach announced its collaboration with Decentriq.

The additional financing will be used to continue building the Switzerland of Data—a neutral ground for data collaboration that is secure and confidential.

Maximilian Groth, Co-founder & CEO of Decentriq, said: "At Decentriq, we’re proud to receive Silicon Valley Bank’s trust in providing us with additional financial liquidity for our ambitions and helping us deliver our future growth plans."

Ben Tickler, Managing Director, Venture & Growth at Silicon Valley Bank UK, said: "It’s great to be a part of Decentriq’s journey as they look to scale. We are delighted to be working with the team and support this exciting next phase of growth."

A jury of investors and experts ranked Decentriq among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups in 2021 and 2022.

The startup was also selected to be one of the Venture Leaders Technology 2021. "During the Venture Leaders Technology 2021 trip, I got great exposure to Silicon Valley investors," said Maximilian Groth, "so, I highly recommend this program to every entrepreneur from Switzerland."
