Electric aircraft innovator Dufour Aerospace secures investment

The startup, which develops advanced electric aircrafts, closed a Series B financing round to accelerate its growth and further develop the innovative tilt-wing technology applied in its aircrafts. Dufour Aerospace has ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups since 2020.

Dufour Aerospace AG completed a Series B investment from Vista Global Holding Limited (Vista), the world's leading global private aviation group, further supporting the continued development of sustainable aviation technologies.

In addition to Vista, the existing investors and two new investors participated in the funding round. Vista's investment and deep industry experience provide valuable support in expanding the considerable potential of Dufour's innovative tilt-wing technologies and aerospace products. This technology will be applied in Dufour’s unmanned Aero2 aircraft and its flagship manned Aero3 aircraft. Both models combine features of helicopter and airplane designs, allowing vertical takeoff and landing.

Pfammatter is a pilot and has flown thousands of rescue operations. His aviation expertise is complemented by a career that includes CEO and CFO positions in entrepreneurial and multinational companies. He remains a professional commercial helicopter rescue pilot with Air Zermatt, as well as a fixed-wing, IFR-rated aerobatic pilot.
