Brand management platform Frontify successfully closed a series A financing round of $8.3 million. With the funds, the St.Gallen based startup will invest in product development as well as push expansion in the US market.
The funding round was led by venture capital firm Blossom Capital. Seed investors include Doodle co-founder Myke Naef, former Google Thomas Duebendorfer and Cédric Waldburger of Tenderloin Ventures.
Frontify helps companies, delivering a consistent brand experience across different communication channels. Its always up to date platform gives employees access to brand guidelines, digital asset management and pattern libraries. With “Workspace”, Frontify further provides a collaboration tool for marketing and branding teams, designers and software developers.
“A brand is strengthened by its ability to stay consistent and on-brand with every customer touchpoint", says Andreas Fischler, CEO of Frontify.
Frontify was founded 2013 and ranks among the TOP 100 startups of Switzerland. Roger Dudler, founder and CTO, first came in contact with the startup ecosystem through a Venturelab workshop.
“Many years ago I attended the Business Plan course of Venturelab and gathered my first experiences with business plans and pitches. Although not for Frontify, the course motivated me and had a lasting impact on me.”
The main markets for Frontify are USA, UK, Germany and Switzerland. In the future, the startup will focus more on the US market and expand to Northern Europe, France, Spain, Benelux and Latin America. The funding round will be used for product development, hiring, as well as to open an office in New York and boost the expansion in the US market.
In the next 12 to 18 months, Frontify plans to hire 50 new employees in all its departments and offices. The next addition to the brand management platform will be a web-based publishing solution, allowing its users to composed brand-consistent content for social media platforms and print products, such as adverts and business cards, directly in the browser.
