Lipidon Analytics is a Swiss medtech company specialized in identification and development of biomarkers for the life science, cosmetic and food industries using unique and proprietary mass spectrometry-based technologies. Lipidon provides value-added small molecules to guide and assist customer decisions ranging from personal food and cosmetic choices up to disease/therapy evaluations and personalized medicine opportunities.
The first product ready for commercialization is PhytoQuant, a quantitative bioassay that allows to profile lipids in food and consumer products. The assay also differentiates between products of animal and herbal origin. Among other applications, the assay can be used to control for animal-based ingredients in vegan products. PhytoQuant thus directly addresses veganism as a life style in general, as well as a globally increased health awareness and concern of processed food content.
