Hagerbach Test Gallery is a fantastic underground world that offers unique possibilities as an innovation laboratory and training base. Hagerbach is looking for pioneering startups to develop solutions for the visionary idea of living on Mars or other planets. Solutions include those that offer products/services that could make life on Mars possible. Be it solutions for constructing buildings/caverns, energy, air or water management, health & safety, transportation, food production, or communication. The ultimate goal is a self-sustaining habitat based on the principles of a circular economy.

Apply if your startup offers innovative solutions and disruptive business models to make a future life possible on Mars. Ten selected startups will pitch their startup project on June 13, 2022 in front of a jury of high-ranking industry experts from Hagerbach Test Gallery, AMBERG, IMPLENIA, SIKA, ACO, ELKUCH, ROWA, Mission Earth First (ITACUS, SCAUT, THE HUS, VSH). The five top ranks will present and showcase their startup on July 5, 2022 in a Hybrid Event (remote pitching possible) live-streamed out of the Hagerbach Test Gallery including public voting for the winner. The award is a proof of concept in the Hagerbach Test Gallery (value CHF 10'000.-).

To find out more about the potential of life in outer space, we need to go underground: Mars Habitat Challenge is looking for pioneering startups to develop solutions and business models that help create a self-sustaining Habitat on Mars or other planets. To do that, the startups will collaborate with Hagerbach Test Gallery, a network of tunnels and caverns that create the ideal underground innovation laboratory and training base for innovative projects based on a circular economy.
