In a strategic move to enhance its capabilities and lead the charge towards sustainable practices in the food industry, Swiss company Ferrum has recently acquired QualySense, an innovative startup specializing in AI-powered grain, seed, and bean sorting technologies. The integration aims not only to expand its business horizons but also to establish new benchmarks for sustainability within the food sector.
With the operations and assets of QualySense now under Ferrum's umbrella, the newly formed entity, Ferrum Analytics and Sorting is ready to revolutionize sorting technologies, backed by the expertise of QualySense's talented team.
QualySense specializes in innovative robotic solutions designed for seed processing and quality inspection. Notably, their QSorter technology stands as the sole solution globally capable of swiftly measuring both the compositional and physical quality of each seed or grain, achieving sorting speeds ranging from 30 to an impressive 3,000 per second.
In a significant development, Ferrum, a reputable Swiss company with a focus on canning systems and centrifuges for the beverage industry, has taken a substantial step by acquiring the operations and assets of QualySense. This acquisition marks the establishment of Ferrum Analytics and Sorting as its third business division. Notably, Ferrum has been QualySense's production partner since 2018.
Under the new structure, the management and operational team of QualySense, including Co-Founder Francesco Dell’Endice now serving as CEO CCO, have seamlessly joined Ferrum Analytics and Sorting. With a solid foundation and a partnership dating back to 2018, the collaboration is poised to make substantial strides in the field of robotics and analytics solutions for the broader food and agricultural sectors.
Currently boasting a diverse clientele worldwide, Ferrum Analytics and Sorting is actively advancing its expansion initiatives to provide innovative robotics solutions, exemplified by the QSorter, and analytics offerings to the global food and agricultural landscape. Leveraging the expansive reach of the Ferrum Group, Ferrum Analytics and Sorting is well-positioned to significantly grow its business and make a meaningful impact on the worldwide food industry.
