QualySense wins the Red Herring Europe Award 2017

QualySense made it in the Top 100 of Red Herring Europe, a yearly high level award selecting the continent’s 100 best technology companies. QualySense guarantees food safety by robot inspection and has become an innovative player in the field of soft commodities worldwide.

On 25 and 26 April 2017, the finalists of the European award were judged in Amsterdam on a wide variety of factors such as the disruptiveness of the solution in their respective markets, the market maturity or the team quality and experience. Red Herring brought together 250 high level technology entrepreneurs, corporate strategists and venture capitalists from across the continent together with the founders of the award winning companies, among which QualySense CEO, Francesco Dell'Endice, who commented on the achievement: “We are very proud to be amongst the 100 best European startups. It's a sign that QualySense is becoming more and more visible to the international community. It also reflects the impact that our mission can bring to the food and the seed industry worldwide. The Red Herring Award provides us with more responsibility and motivation to continue our journey to success".    

QualySense developed a sophisticated high speed single-kernel robot capable of analyzing and sort each grain individually at a lightning speed. It is the result of outstanding R&D in the field of sensing, mechatronics, biochemistry, data processing and life sciences. The Zurich based startup counts leading companies in the world as their clients such as General Mills, Pepsico and Grain Millers. With a team of 32, it counts offices in Zurich as well as in Chicago.
