Whom does your product or solution help, and how?
Any public or private organization looking for ways to improve its IT products and services must consider sustainable KPIs. Customers look for it and investors ask them more and more. Our expertise and our products will answer their stakeholders' demands while improving their products.
How did you come up with the idea for your startup?
Amael, one of the co-founders, made a first assessment for our university, EPFL. After that, other companies and institutions came to us for similar studies. Seeing the demand, we decided to react and create
Resilio. Since then, the journey has been amazing. We never thought we would become so big in so little time.
What do you expect from the Venture Leaders roadshow, and how do you think it help you achieve your vision?
Visibility, experience, mentorship. We are well established in the Swiss and French ecosystem; Spain is a very big opportunity to expand. Our expectations are very high. We want to reach new partners and new clients.
"As a team, we are committed to a larger goal: to make our planet a better place to live."
What are you most excited about at work right now?
What’s most exciting is when we get to work with large multinational groups, Federal and European institutions… Seeing how our products and our recommendations are considered and how they can influence companies' decisions for a more sustainable world. We are also developing some exciting products and improvements that will significantly improve the precision of our results.
How did you go about building your team?
We started as an association as a group of students, and we partnered with other independent experts who had expertise in diverse fields. This is the first entrepreneurial experience for most of us and we are very excited.
What market are you addressing and what is the potential of your startup in that market?
Our clients are mainly large organizations that what to know more about sustainability in their IT infrastructure, products, or services. Digital transformation and sustainability are thriving topics; we combine both.
What are your company's and team's key achievements to date?
We can proudly say that we made more than CHF 750k in sales within less than a year of incorporation. We launched our product in September, and jointly with our consulting services, we are growing month after month.
How did you come up with the name of your startup?
It must have been in July 2021. We brainstormed names during the first meeting with all of the founders and came up with Resilio. I think it defines well what we do and what we aim for. After all, we help our clients become more resilient.
Is there a key principle or value that guides you as you build your company?
We see ourselves as pathfinders; we look for under/unexplored opportunities, new paths, new methods to guide our ecosystem toward a better world. As a team, we are committed to a larger goal: to make our planet a better place to live.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received and from whom?
One of my mentors, Carlos Malet, told me that being a founder is like running a marathon. Founders need to play the long game to ensure that their idea becomes one day a success. That takes time but also a lot of effort. It’s that persistence and that desire to move forward that makes me wake up every morning with the desire to face a new challenge, a new opportunity.
What are you most proud of?
My family. Parents, sisters, cousins… they are my number one priority and have supported me all the way. My favorite time of the year is Christmas as it's one of the few times when I can be with all of them.
What is your favorite book and why?
Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. I remember reading it for the first time when I was 12 and since then I might have read it another five times. Even now, when I go through certain streets of cafes, I can't stop imagining the scenes of that book, the smells it evoked, and the emotions I felt.
