Scewo, an innovative Swiss, Winterthur-based, technology company renowned for its stair-climbing electric wheelchair, Scewo BRO, has successfully secured an investment of CHF 9.2 million in Series A extension funding, led by RSBG Ventures.
Demonstrating robust growth, Scewo successfully entered the French market in Q4 2023, marking the inception of its revenue stream. The company is actively engaged in the reimbursement process in France, underscoring its dedication to ensuring global accessibility with innovative mobility solutions. Fueled by the Series A funding, the startup is now ready to expand its footprint to the United States, with the initial focus on achieving FDA compliance, a crucial step in penetrating the largest market for high-end electric wheelchairs.
Complementing this last funding development, Scewo proudly welcomes new members to its board: Dr. Klaus Lesker, CEO of RSBG, Reto Zürcher, CEO of HB-Therm, and Willi Miesch, a med-tech entrepreneur and Co-founder of Medartis, bring their wealth of expertise to guide Scewo AG through its next phase of growth.
