Swiss dental startup Odne secures USD 5.5 Million for US market launch of revolutionary root preservation technology

Swiss dental innovator Odne, formerly known as Lumendo, has announced a significant achievement in its journey toward revolutionizing dental care: With FDA approval secured for its OdneFill and OdneCure solutions, the company has successfully raised USD 5.5 million in funding. The substantial investment will drive the imminent launch of their Root Preservation Technology (RPT) in the US market.

Odne, a pioneer in oral and systemic health innovations, recently closed its Series A1 funding round led by Revere Partners and NV Capital. Other participants included Dental Innovation Alliance, Züricher Kantonalbank, Plug&Play, Hatcher, along with several family offices and angel investors. This round secured CHF 4.8 million (USD 5.5 million) to support Odne's expansion into the US market.

Founded in 2018 by Andreas Schmocker and Mark Bispinghoff, Odne developed an innovative technology platform called Root Preservation Therapy (RPT). This therapy offers faster and more effective treatment for complex root canal cases, addressing the longstanding challenges in this area of dentistry. The company's innovative products — OdneFill and OdneCure — tackle issues like debridement and obturation, improving success rates and reducing healthcare costs associated with failed treatments.

With FDA clearance secured, Odne is prepared to enter the US market in 2024. To better serve American endodontic specialists, the company has established Odne Inc, USA, and is expanding its team with experienced dental professionals to focus on training, service, marketing, and sales.

Odne was ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups in 2022, participated in Venture Leaders Life Sciences in 2017, and in the same year won the last stage of Venture Kick. "With Venture Leaders we were able to meet top KOLs, partners and future VCs for our startup!" commented Andreas Schmocker, CEO and Co-founder of Odne.
