TOP 100 Swiss Investor Summit Draws International Investors to Switzerland

The third TOP 100 Swiss Investor Summit in Zurich's startup space last week attracted scores of global investors for a full day of pitches from a selection of Switzerland's best startups, networking with Swiss and international colleagues, and intense 1-on-1 discussions with founders.


Venturelab's Stefan Steiner kicked-off the TOP 100 Swiss Investor Summit, with 100 investors receiving a warm welcome from digitalswitzerland's managing director, Nicolas Bürer, and an overview of the Swiss startup market from Karim Maizar, a partner at the law firm Kellerhalls Carrard.

 
The international and Swiss investors representing funds and firms from across the world enjoyed pitches from a selection of the country's best robotics, medtech, AI, biotech, engineering, agtech and software startups. A selection of the international venture capital investors:

Switzerland a Deeptech Hotspot
After a networking lunch keynote speaker Jon Roberts, from Menalto Advisors, presented data from mergers and acquisitions in the U.S., Europe and Asia, to reveal the sweetspot for tech M&A, and dispel misconceptions on the popularity of IPOs. This overview of the path to exit provided food for thought for investors and entrepreneurs developing deeptech, and framed a panel discussion on Switzerland as a deeptech hotspot, with Olga Dubey, CEO of AgroSustain, Patrick Griss, Managing Partner at Zühlke Ventures and Jon Roberts from Menalto Advisors. The key message of the discussion was that Swiss startups are able to attract growth capital from investors and are an attractive target for international acquirers.
