Voliro secures USD 23M Series A extension to advance aerial infrastructure inspection

17.06.2025 17:00, Rita Longobardi

Voliro, a Swiss company developing aerial robots for industrial inspections, has raised a total of USD 23 Million following an extension of its Series A round. With this funding, the robotics startup aims to scale its operations and expand its global reach in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Voliro's core platform, the Voliro T, features a patented tiltable-rotor system and modular sensors, enabling contact-based inspections of difficult-to-access assets such as flare stacks, tanks, and wind turbine blades. It offers a safer and faster alternative to scaffolding or rope-based methods.

With infrastructure aging and certified inspectors in short supply, Voliro's technology enables more frequent, efficient inspections—cutting downtime and costs. In wind energy, it can perform lightning protection checks up to five times faster than conventional approaches.

The extended round includes new participation from noa and a debt facility from UBS, building on the original investment led by Cherry Ventures. Voliro currently serves over 40 customers across 17 countries and conducts more than 100 inspections each month.

The robotics startups has been ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss startups and won Venture Kick.
