Zoundream secures EUR 4 million to advance AI-based infant voice analysis

07.10.2025 09:45, Rita Longobardi

Basel-based startup Zoundream has raised EUR 4 million in seed funding to expand the reach and capabilities of its AI-driven neonatal health solution. The investment will fuel product and commercial development, team growth, and partnerships with families and healthcare professionals worldwide.

Founded in Basel with additional offices in Barcelona, Zoundream develops AI-based tools for infant voice analysis. Its technology interprets newborn cries and vocalizations, providing real-time information about an infant’s needs and identifying early signs of health conditions such as gastrointestinal issues or atypical neurodevelopment. By relying solely on voice, the solution offers a non-invasive way to assess early health—an essential period when timely intervention can have a lasting impact.

Zoundream’s technology is already integrated into baby monitors from major global brands, including Philips Avent, Maxi-Cosi, and Motorola Nursery, with more collaborations underway. The company also partners with hospitals and research institutions such as Hospital Clínic Barcelona, University Medical Center Utrecht, and the University Children’s Hospital Zurich to bring its system into clinical environments.

The new funding will support ongoing product development and international expansion, reinforcing Zoundream’s role as a trusted partner in neonatal health. Combining artificial intelligence with acoustic research, the company aims to build a future where every baby’s voice contributes to better care and well-being for infants and families worldwide.
