The acquisition expands Datasite’s SaaS suite with board reporting and meeting management software, aiming to streamline corporate governance.
Datasite, the go-to solution for managing complex business transactions, announced today its acquisition of
Sherpany, a leading provider of board reporting and meeting management software and former
Venture Leader Technology (2012) and
TOP 100 Swiss Startup (2012-2016). This strategic move expands Datasite's product suite beyond the deal room, empowering organizations to streamline governance and decision-making across the entire value chain.
The acquisition, expected to close in Q1 2024, brings together Datasite's expertise in secure document collaboration and Sherpany's innovative tools for board agendas, secure communication, and actionable insights. This combined offering enables organizations to automate board material preparation, distribution, and annotation, improve decision-making, and increase governance effectiveness.
“Creating a world where every meeting counts has been Sherpany’s mission from the very start,” commented Tobias Häckermann, Founder and CEO of Sherpany. “Datasite and Sherpany have a shared passion for leveraging technology to streamline business processes and boost organizational productivity. We are excited to further expand the scope and reach of our board collaboration and meeting management solutions with Datasite.”
“After more than ten years of leadership, my fellow shareholders and I are excited to pass along and entrust Sherpany to new owners, enabling this great company and its great team to continue building a leading global market player” added Nicole Herzog, Chairwoman of Sherpany.
The combined platform is expected to be especially valuable for companies undergoing mergers and acquisitions, as it provides a seamless flow of information from the deal room to the boardroom.
