Venturelab will host a special Venture Briefing, shining the light on Startup Success in Life Science - Medtech.

Proud to introduce to you:



Thomas Zumbrunn, co-founder of CustomSurg, a Spin-Off from ETH Zurich and Harvard Medical School. The company is developing software-as-a-medical-device (SaMD) solutions for the optimal selection and placement of orthopaedic implants in the human body, thereby making surgery safer, faster, and simpler. CustomSurg won several awards and grants, including Venture Kick, the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award, Innosuisse, BRIDGE and represented the Swiss National Startup Team on its investor roadshow to Boston. Early 2024, CustomSurge raised its seedround from investors HTGF and Kickfund.
Thomas will talk about CustomSurg and share details about the journey of building a successful deep tech company. He will also help answer some of your questions during the Q&A session:

• How to become an entrepreneur? 
• How to validate my idea?
• How to fund my idea?
• How to find help to bring my idea to life?

You will also be introduced to different support programs available to new entrepreneurs:

• Venture Kick (up to CHF 150,000 pre-seed capital for business development)
• InnoBooster (up to CHF 150,000 grant to accelerate market entry)
• First Ventures (up to CHF 150,000 financial support for projects cooperating with a University of Applied Science)
