The Venture Briefing event series is designed to help students with an intent to pursue entrepreneurship take their first steps towards building a successful company.

The Innovation Office of the University of Bern, the Bern University of Applied Sciences and Venturelab cordially invite you: join us for a free lunch and learn about non-dilutive funding instruments for your spin-off or innovation project!

In the first part of the event, various financing options for spinoff and innovation projects will be presented.

In the second part, Julian Liniger, Co-Founder and CEO of Relai will share his experiences and advice on building his company and raising funding.
About: Julian Liniger co-founded Relai, Europe's leading Bitcoin App. Previous to starting the company, Julian studied management at University of Bern and the Dominican University of California. Later, he worked as a management consultant at synfluence and co-founded two other startups in the finance and crypto space, Bravis and CCFE. Julian has also been the co-organizer of TEDxBielBienne.

Under Julian's leadership, Relai has raised multiple financing rounds, with closing a CHF 12 million Series A in December 2024. Relai has been awarded the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award for 4 consecutive years, and represented the Swiss National Startup Team on their international investor roadshow. Today, Relai records more than 100'000 active users per month, trading a total of CHF 600 million in bitcoin since launch 2020. The app is one of the most downloaded finance apps in the app stores, with top user ratings backing Relai's promise: the easiest way to buy, sell, and auto-invest in Bitcoin - a market estimated to grow to USD 230 billion in 2033.

Julian will talk about his startup and share details about his journey building a successful company. He will also help answer some of your questions during the Q&A session:
