Why do you choose Silicon Valley as your business development destination?
Silicon Valley represents one of the global destinations and networks for venture capital, and for startup mentoring. The US is also an exceptionally interesting market for PapayaPods – for two reasons: 1) it has one of the most advanced rental housing markets worldwide, 2) there are a lot more competitors – new and existing, active in this market. This will give us an excellent opportunity to benchmark and learn.
What do you want to achieve from the trip?
We want to generate leads and relations with Venture Capitalits for our Series A funding round, which we will be starting end of 2017. Building a network and relations with VC’s prior to formally pursuing any due diligence, or investment discussions goes a long way towards making the right decision for a collaboration. We also want to generate leads for partners/clients with whom we could collaborate over the next 12 months, to better understand the US market.
