The Venture Briefing event series is designed to help students and scientists with an intent to pursue entrepreneurship take their first steps towards building a successful company.
The event features a keynote from entrepreneur Leroy Bächtold of CrowdSports.
About: Leroy is the Co-Founder & CEO of CrowdSports - a fintech company in the sports market, empowering fans to fund and shape their favorite football, handball, and hockey clubs. Founded in 2023 with Richard Lauper and Roger Grossenbacher, the company already raised CHF 3 million in funding and employs 15 employees. Previous to founding his company, Leroy worked in consulting, IT, and finance at Flowable, IPG Group, KPMG. Leroy is a graduate of business informatics and entrepreneurship at ZHAW, HEC Paris, and University of Hertfordshire. While he was still a student, he founded his first company, SWA IT AG, providing software development services. Leroy has been recognized in the 30 under 30 list of Forbes Magazine, winner of the Venture Competition, and as the Team Captain of the Swiss National Startup Team 2024, representing the most promising Swiss fintech startups on their roadshow to London.
