What does your product or solution do, and what makes it unique?
LOXO is developing scaled autonomous delivery with L4 vehicles compliant with EU regulations. The technology is designed as a flexible solution, supporting both last-mile and middle-mile logistics. It can be integrated across different commercial vehicle fleets and combines, among others, advanced AI, deterministic safety models with a robust sensor suite (solid-state LiDAR, radar, cameras, and sensors) to enable safe, fully driverless operations in complex urban environments. LOXO provides the whole stack – software, hardware, and operational platform to its clients. We are currently preparing the market entry for a new delivery vehicle in collaboration with a European OEM.
What trend or shift in your industry is currently creating the biggest opportunity for you?
Urban logistics faces major challenges: rising delivery demand driven by e-commerce, driver shortages, congestion, and stricter environmental regulations. Current delivery models are costly, inefficient, and unsustainable. LOXO addresses this by providing autonomous, zero-emission vehicles that reduce operational costs, emissions, and dependency on human drivers while improving delivery efficiency and scalability.
How did the idea for your startup originate?
I grew up around trucks; my father ran a company, so vehicles were part of daily life. That’s where my passion for the automotive world began.
Creating CertX let me explore how AI and safety can transform transportation. Applying advanced technology to an industry I grew up with feels meaningful.
Joining Switzerland’s first autonomous vehicle project was ambitious, maybe even a bit crazy. The journey is long, but I’m confident we’re on the right path.
Which market are you addressing, and what potential do you see for your startup in that market?
European urban logistics faces rising costs, labor shortages, and repetitive routes, making profitability tough. In Switzerland, deliveries cost CHF 2.88/km but fetch only CHF 7 per trip. Flexible schedules add pressure. Autonomous vehicles offer a scalable solution, cutting costs to CHF 0.50/km and meeting growing demand.
What impact do you want your technology to have five years from now?
Autonomous vehicles offer transformative advantages that allow companies to rethink delivery strategies. Microhubs, previously unviable with human drivers, could achieve 30% cost savings with automation.
What major challenges have you faced so far?
International expansion: Expanding our technology to different countries, cities, and eventually across continents, adapting to local regulations and market needs while keeping our core innovation strong. Fast access to growth capital: Securing rapid access to growth capital to accelerate scaling, strengthen our team, and deploy our technology in new markets more efficiently.
What motivates you on tough days?
Impact: I’m driven by shaping transportation—how goods move, cities work, and safety is managed.
Human connection: Building trust and working closely with colleagues, partners, and clients gives meaning to the work.
Innovation: The technical challenge of AI, autonomous driving, and safety is complex but rewarding when solutions succeed in real life.
Why did you decide to join the Venture Leaders Roadshow, and what are you most excited about?
Evaluate expansion to the U.S.: To better understand the U.S. market potential and assess whether it is the right next step for our international expansion.
Access to growth capital: To connect with investors who understand deep-tech and mobility and secure the growth capital needed to scale faster and deploy our technology in larger markets.
