This collaboration represents a turning point for AirConsole, empowering the startup to amplify its in-car gaming solutions following a successful debut with BMW. The infusion of capital and the partnership with KPIT aim to push AirConsole's innovative technology to new heights, promoting scalability and reinforcing its commanding presence in the rapidly evolving market.
Headquartered in Zurich,
N-Dream—the company behind AirConsole—is set to redefine in-car entertainment using Cloud OTA technology, bridging the USD 152 billion mobile gaming industry to living room TVs and automotive entertainment systems. Boasting a library of 180+ games, AirConsole has connected over 16 million players across 300 million TVs and set-top boxes globally, with revenues skyrocketing from CHF 0.784 million in 2020 to CHF 1.99 million as of December 2022.
Introduced earlier this year in BMW vehicles, the AirConsole in-car gaming solution has gained traction, and now, with KPIT Technologies as an integration partner, the startup aims to expand its reach to diverse car models and brands.
AirConsole's in-car gaming transforms vehicles into interactive consoles, employing the car's entertainment system, surround sound, and smartphones as controllers. Operating directly within the vehicle, this innovative solution enhances the gaming experience without relying on cloud streaming, ensuring optimal performance even with limited bandwidth.
Andrin von Rechenberg, N-Dream's founder, expresses excitement about the partnership with KPIT, emphasizing the potential for in-car gaming in an era of autonomous driving. KPIT's equity investment will fuel team growth and empower AirConsole to expand its game portfolio, creating immersive experiences tailored for the automotive environment.
"It’s been a transformational year at AirConsole and in the industry. We have scaled our BMW partnership and have extended that to the MINI brand. Not only this, but we struck a partnership with Sony’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and will be launching the game in 2024. Now, working KPIT will take AirConsole to the next level," commented N-Dream's CEO, Anthony Cliquot. "This investment will enable us to provide even more impressive games in the near future, increase our footprint in the automotive industry and overall establish ourselves as the ideal gaming solution for car makers and passengers. We look forward to CES 2024 where the world will get to see AirConsole in action."
N-Dream was ranked among the
