Can you tell us who your product or solution helps, and how?
Distinkt is an innovative technology company revolutionizing the Product Authentication and Digital Product Passport (DPP) markets by introducing a patented nanoparticle-based hardware + software solution. Our flagship technology combines dynamic, color-changing QR codes, activated by ultra-violet light sources, with secure blockchain integration. This groundbreaking approach provides an unparalleled level of security, traceability, and consumer engagement, addressing critical gaps in product authentication, sustainability compliance, and supply chain transparency.
What market are you addressing and what is the potential of your startup in that market?
The global counterfeit goods issue, costing EUR 1.8 trillion annually, highlights the need for effective anti-counterfeiting solutions. Industries like pharmaceuticals, luxury goods, food & beverage, and electronics are increasingly seeking tools for traceability and sustainability. The Authentication and Brand Protection industry, worth EUR 3 billion and growing at 10% annually, has been at the forefront of this effort. Additionally, the Digital Product Passport market is set for rapid growth, driven by EU regulations requiring DPPs for all goods sold in the EU by 2026-2030, representing EUR 3.2 billion in new investment with a 24% CAGR. Distinkt is well-positioned to address both markets with a single solution.
What are your team’s key achievements to date?
• Currently closing a pre-seed round of EUR 1.2 million, which was heavily oversubscribed.
• Won two grants: NEOTEC (CDTI) and Startup Capital (ACCIO), with a combined value of EUR 425,000.
• Participated in the Berkeley SkyDeck Accelerator (Batch 17) — a 6-month program in Berkeley, CA, receiving EUR 145,000 in investment and 3 key advisors.
•Developed and validated a hardware MVP with leading high-security ink companies.
