Switzerland's innovation landscape is about to witness a deep shift as the Swisscom StartUp Challenge sets its sights on discovering the most innovative solutions rooted in deep tech. With a keen focus on sectors spanning industry, robotics, space, fintech, agtech, edtech, smart cities, and clean tech, this challenge promises to usher in a new era of technological advancement. Startups with pioneering ideas in these domains are invited to step up to the plate and redefine the future of innovation.

Isa Müller Wegner and Marcus Dahlen both from Swisscom and the winners from Synthara, Irmos Technologies, and Swistor

A total of 240 startups from more than 30 countries applied for the eleventh edition of the funding programme. This year, a ten-member jury consisting of representatives from Fastweb, ETH, Venturelab and Swisscom picked the three winners: Irmos Technologies, Swistor, and Synthara.

"I am very pleased that all three winners have amazing solutions ready for the challenges of our time. This proves once again the innovative power of our start-ups – let’s let them make us great," said Isa Müller Wegner, Chief Group Strategy & Development at Swisscom.

The winners of the Swisscom StartUp Challenge 2023 will benefit from an acceleration programme in Swisscom Outpost in Silicon Valley tailored to their individual needs, alongside the development of marketing and sales skills, individual pitch training and coaching from Venturelab, a network of potential customers and business partners, and participation in the NOAH Zurich 2023 Conference for the online voting winner.
