20.09.2021 13:45, Isabelle Mitchell

The Swisscom StartUp Challenge 2021 shines the spotlight on one of the most critical topics in our digital and decentralized world: cyber security. Five startups from three countries convinced the jury and will participate in an exploration program with Swisscom experts.

For the ninth time, startups from around the world applied to be part of the Swisscom StartUp Challenge and win a coveted spot in the exploration program. This year, the program’s focus was on cyber security, and a jury consisting of members of the Swisscom Group Executive Board, Swisscom Security Group, Swisscom Ventures, and Venturelab went through 80 applications to pick the five winners of the Swisscom StartUp Challenge 2021: CAOS, Code Intelligence, CYSEC, Grip Security, and xorlab.

“These young companies are full of drive and are declaring war on cybercriminals. I’m delighted that our program can help young entrepreneurs get off the ground and bring valuable innovative power to Swisscom and Switzerland,” explained Roger Wüthrich-Hasenböhler, founder of the Swisscom Startup Challenge and Head of Swisscom Digital Business.

The cyber security experts from Swisscom and Venturelab will accompany the five winners during the exploration program to help the startups advance their products, prototypes, and solutions. The one-week program will provide the entrepreneurs with access to Swisscom’s infrastructure, individual training, and mentoring and networking opportunities with experts and partners.
