Munich stands as a leading hub for climate technologies and sustainable innovation in Europe, bringing together industrial leaders, investors, and research institutions supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy. The Venture Leaders Cleantech 2025 roadshow gave 10 Swiss entrepreneurs the chance to engage with this ecosystem and expand their international reach. Over the weeklong program, the Swiss National Startup Team met with investors, corporate partners, and sector specialists to explore opportunities in Germany and across Europe. Through networking sessions, investor meetings, and pitch events, the startups improved their strategies and established connections for future projects. Venture Leaders Cleantech 2025 is organized by Venturelab and supported by EPFL, ETH, Helbling Technik, Rentsch Partner, Canton of Vaud, Vischer, and Canton of Zurich.
Venturelab has been organizing international investor and business development roadshows for the
Swiss National Startup Teams since 2006. The ambitious entrepreneurs and their promising startups are introduced to high-class investors and potential customers in leading technology hubs such as Silicon Valley, Boston, Asia, Barcelona, Munich, and London.
Venture Leaders Cleantech team was selected from over 80 applicants by a panel of investors and experts. As members of the Swiss National Startup Team, they took part in a business development and investor roadshow that provided an intensive, week-long immersion into Munich's startup ecosystem. Beyond networking within the Bavarian region, the participants connected with fellow entrepreneurs facing similar goals and challenges.
The 2025 Venture Leaders Cleantech roadshow brought the Swiss team to Munich for five days of meetings with investors and industry partners. The program opened with a train ride from Switzerland and a welcome event hosted by Clipperton, where each startup gave a 90-second pitch.
The week included a steady rhythm of investor meetings, starting with UVC Partners and continuing with Occident, SEF Ventures, GetFund, Matterwave Ventures, WorldFund, and Capmont Technology. The team also took part in an industrialization workshop and lunch at Helbling Technik, which offered a concrete view of the steps required to bring cleantech solutions to market. A group dinner with Occident at Schneider Weisse and an evening with the program’s partners added room for more informal conversations.
The roadshow ended with the train ride back to Switzerland, with
cleantech keeping its place among the most active sectors in Swiss startup investment, raising
254 million CHF in October alone.
