The Venture Leaders Cleantech 2022 kick-off their roadshow to Munich

12.09.2022 19:00, Tracy Woodley

In October, the ten Venture Leaders Cleantech 2022 will represent Switzerland and pitch their solutions in Munich, Germany. During their weeklong roadshow, the entrepreneurs will meet with investors, experts, and industry leaders to strengthen their network and advance their global growth. To introduce themselves and their startups, the founders met in Zurich and showcased their innovations at an online pitch session.

During the virtual event on September 9th, the Venture Leaders Cleantech 2022 learned more about each other’s innovations, talked about their startup journeys thus far, and pitched their unique cleantech solutions. Audience members then voted for the team captain and selected Saurabh Tembhurne, CEO of SoHHytec, for the title.

Venture Leaders Cleantech is a unique business development program in Munich to explore the international market and the potential of high-growth Swiss startups. It is an exclusive opportunity to be a part of a top entrepreneurial team, accelerate one's business growth, and showcase Switzerland as a leading country for innovation.

The Venture Leaders— as members of the Swiss National Startup Team— have a clear-cut goal: They envision themselves as global players and want to fuel their international expansion. The ten entrepreneurs of this year’s selection had the opportunity to practice their pitches for their promising cleantech projects in front of an audience and one another. The Investor and Business Development Roadshow to Munich will allow for a deep dive into the global cleantech scene. It will include public and private pitch sessions, high-level networking opportunities, company visits, and individual business development activities.

“The interest for this program and the quality of applications has been tremendous,” said Stefan Steiner, co-Managing Director at Venturelab. “We have supported cleantech startups for many years, and we are pleased to bring this further with the first Venture Leaders fully focused on the cleantech sector. From energy production to material recycling, each startup brings an essential solution for our world.”

Venturelab has been organizing international roadshows for the Swiss National Startup Teams for 17 years. The ambitious entrepreneurs and their promising startups are introduced to top-class investors and potential customers in leading technology hubs such as Silicon Valley, Boston, New York, London, Munich, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Barcelona.

Venture Leaders Cleantech is organized by Venturelab and supported by Alpian, AMAG, EPF Lausanne, ETH Zurich, EY, Helbling Technik, Romande Energie, Canton Vaud, and VISCHER and Venture Leaders alum Patrick Maillard.
