Venture Leaders Cleantech 2022: 10 innovative startups will advance their global growth in Munich

24.08.2022 08:45, Tracy Woodley

The Swiss National Startup Team welcomes new members: A jury selected 10 startups for the Venture Leaders program dedicated to the cleantech sector. During their roadshow, the Venture Leaders Cleantech will meet international investors and industry leaders and access industry-specific expertise and networks to grow their companies.

The Venture Leaders– the members of the Swiss National Startup Team– have a clear-cut goal. They envision themselves as global players and want to take the first step toward their international expansion. The investor and business development roadshows for Swiss startups are specifically structured to help them achieve this goal. This intense journey offers 10 selected entrepreneurs an accelerated learning curve and a solid network through their exchanges with their team peers, market exposure, feedback from investors and experts, and hands-on business development.

Venture Leaders Cleantech is a unique business development program in Munich to explore the international market and the potential of high-growth Swiss startups. It is an exclusive opportunity to be a part of a top entrepreneurial team, accelerate one's business growth, and showcase Switzerland as a leading country for innovation.

The cleantech sector now introduces its own distinct Swiss National Startup Team: A jury of professional investors and cleantech experts reviewed almost 90 applications to choose the 10 Venture Leaders Cleantech 2022. The 10 selected startups reduce human-made negative environmental impact by increasing energy efficiency, developing sustainable resources production systems, or bolstering environmental protection.

“The interest for this program and the quality of applications has been tremendous,” said Stefan Steiner, co-Managing Director at Venturelab. “We have supported cleantech startups for many years, and we are pleased to bring this further with the first Venture Leaders fully focused on the cleantech sector. From energy production to material recycling, each startup brings an essential solution for our world.”

This year’s Venture Leaders Cleantech will introduce themselves and their startups at a virtual pitch session on September 9th, 2022. This event will be open to the public and will provide a showcase for the 10 game-changing innovations that the 2022 Swiss National Startup Team will be presenting in Munich. Register to attend the event.

Venture Leaders Cleantech is organized by Venturelab and supported by Alpian, AMAG, EPF Lausanne, ETH Zurich, EY, Helbling Technik, Romande Energie, Canton Vaud, and VISCHER and Venture Leaders alum Patrick Maillard.
