USD 1.3 million for Insurteam to expand across Europe

Lausanne-based Insurteam has closed a USD 1.3 million funding round to accelerate the rollout of its technology and insurance operations across Europe. Since its launch, the company’s platform has supported insurance policies used by more than 100,000 customers, with activities already spanning Italy, the Netherlands, and the DACH region.

The newly secured capital will fund the expansion of Insurteam’s Managing General Agent (MGA) operations across Europe. This step will allow the company, a former Venture Leaders Fintech participant, to bring insurance products to market that fully integrate its proprietary technology, with a focus on underwriting performance and customer experience.

Insurteam develops solutions for the travel insurance sector, combining artificial intelligence, data analytics, and multichannel communication to automate both sales and claims management. Its platform streamlines claims processing, reducing the workload for assistance teams and lowering claim management costs for insurers by up to 80%. Processing times can be reduced from several weeks to a matter of minutes.

The company operates a B2B2C model, working with online travel agencies, tour operators, and wholesalers. Its technology supports partners in managing insurance offerings while improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Founded in 2024, Insurteam has expanded from a team of two to ten employees and has established MGA operations in Dublin, Ireland. The company more than doubled its revenue in 2025 and projects a similar trajectory for 2026, supported by contracts already in place. Its presence across several European markets reflects a strategy focused on scaling a technology-driven approach within the insurance sector.
