Venture Leader Mobile Aurelien Demaurex's Startup EcoRobotix Bringing Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture to MWC Barcelona 2020

Every year, 2 million tons of toxic pesticide is spread over our food. Why? To kill the weeds and to ensure affordable and abundant food production. But these toxic molecules are polluting soils, water and finally our plate. Based in Switzerland, ecoRobotix is developing a revolutionary weed-killer robot, fully automatic and solar-powered. It detects weeds among crop and destroys them using 95% fewer chemicals. We interviewed CEO Aurélien Demaurex about his expectations on going to present his innovation in Barcelona with the Venture Leaders Mobile program and the Swiss National Startup Team.

How is EcoRobotix changing the Mobile industry?
We are not changing the Mobile industry, but we are using its recent improvements, especially the power of 5G network, to boost our products. It will allow our weeding robots to collect and process a lot of interesting data and give important feedback to farmers, for example about crop growth issues, insects attack or fungi spreading.

How important is it to be in Barcelona at the MWC?

What do you hope to achieve from the Venture Leaders Mobile 2020 roadshow?
Make valuable contacts with potential investors that could join our Series B round later this year. Also, meet potential partners in AI, data management, 5G network, GPS RTK.
