The Venture Leaders — the Swiss National Startup Team members — have a clear objective: They envision themselves as global players and aim for international expansion. The Venture Leaders Medtech roadshow 2025 brought 10 handpicked Swiss entrepreneurs to Boston, one of the world’s largest life science hubs. The Swiss National Startup Team members benefited from market exposure, pitch sessions with investors and experts, and hands-on business development. The roadshow is organized by Venturelab and supported by EPFL, ETH Zürich, Hansjörg Wyss, Helbling Technik, Health Innovation Hub Aargau, Kellerhals Carrard, Canton de Vaud, and Vischer.
Venturelab has been organizing international investor and business development roadshows for the Swiss National Startup Teams since 2006. Ambitious entrepreneurs and their promising startups are introduced to high-caliber investors and potential customers in leading technology hubs such as Silicon Valley, Boston, Asia, Barcelona, Munich, and London.
"Participating in the Venture Leaders Medtech program with Venturelab was an intense and enriching experience. The program offered valuable insights into the U.S. market, reshaped my understanding of fundraising dynamics, and helped refine our expectations in today’s investment climate," highlighted Nour Ghalia Abassi Co-Founder and CEO of DigeHealth. "It also deepened my knowledge of regulatory and reimbursement systems. Alongside the input from external experts, we grew together as a team — exchanging with other founders, sharing lessons, and learning from each other’s experiences to approach challenges differently. Many thanks to VentureLab for organizing such a well-structured program — I would highly recommend it to any startup aiming to accelerate its learning and prepare for US market entry."
"The Venture Leaders Medtech program was both insightful and energizing. I learned from Swiss companies about their US expansion, gained valuable leads for financing and collaborations, and above all shared one intense week of camaraderie with fellow entrepreneurs who truly understand the journey," points out Eric Ménétré, CEO and Co-Founder dEEGtal.
"The Venture Leaders trip was an unparalleled opportunity for us to network with key players in the US MedTech Industry. As a relatively young startup, the program provided a great step in establishing initial US traction and I would highly recommend it to any Swiss startup," emphasizes Emily Thompson, Co-Founder and CEO of Augury Medical.
Stefan Tuchschmied, team captain 2025, summarized the roadshow: “Yes, you’ll get tons of input on medtech, meet investors, bring your pitch to the next level, and learn to network like a pro. But the single biggest value? After this week, you’ll be friends with 10 of the most talented and extraordinary Swiss medtech startup entrepreneurs!”
