Venture Leaders Medtech 2025: Ten Swiss startups selected for US expansion

08.07.2025 11:00, Rita Longobardi

Ten promising startups have been named to the Swiss National Medtech Team 2025 and will travel to Boston from September 28th to October 3rd to pitch to investors, expand their network, and meet industry leaders. The Venture Leaders Medtech program is organized by Venturelab, with the support of EPFL, ETH Zurich, Hansjörg Wyss, Helbling Technik, Health Innovation Hub Aargau, Kellerhals Carrard, Canton de Vaud, and Vischer.

Since 2006, Venturelab has been selecting the Swiss National Startup Team. Through its Venture Leaders roadshows, entrepreneurs engage with top experts, investors, and potential customers in leading global tech hubs, including Silicon Valley, Boston, Asia, Barcelona, Munich, and London.

Following a competitive selection process that reviewed over 70 applications, a jury of investors and industry experts chose ten startups to join the upcoming roadshow in Boston—one of the world’s leading hubs for life sciences and healthcare innovation. The week-long program will give participants the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, potential partners, and investors, supporting their efforts to expand into the US market.

The selected Swiss medtech startups are capturing global attention — and for good reason. They are tackling a range of challenges, from smart implants and AI-powered diagnostics to neonatal nutrition and non-invasive monitoring. “These innovations aren’t just impressive — they have the potential to transform how medtech is delivered worldwide,” said Stefan Steiner, Co-Managing Director of Venturelab.

This year's Venture Leaders Technology participants join an impressive group of alumni, including Lunaphore Technologies (acquired by Bio-Techne), Virtamed, Credentis (acquired by vVardis), Stimit (acquired by Dräger), CUTISS, Distalmotion, MindMaze, Positrigo, and Volumina Medical. “The organization of the program was exceptional, and the quality of the meetings exceeded all my expectations,” highlighted Pablo Lara, Co-founder of OncoSwab, past Venture Leader Medtech 2024. “I was so impressed that I even changed my flight to extend my stay and continue benefiting from this enriching environment. I cannot recommend this program highly enough."
