Venture Leaders Mobile 2026 sets out for Mobile World Congress

20.01.2026 13:20, Rita Longobardi

In March, the ten startups selected for Venture Leaders Mobile 2026 will represent Switzerland at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona—the world's largest and most influential exhibition for the mobile industry. During their roadshow, they will pitch their solutions and meet with investors, experts, and industry leaders to expand their networks and scale globally. To prepare, the entrepreneurs gathered in Zurich on January 14 for an in-person kick-off and a virtual pitch event open to the public.

Chosen from over 100 applicants by a jury of investors and mobile experts, this year’s Venture Leaders will head to Barcelona for the Mobile World Congress (MWC), one of the largest and most influential events in the mobile industry, from February 28 to March 5, 2026. The program offers direct exposure to investors, networking opportunities, and hands-on workshops designed to refine their approach to scaling internationally.

At the kick-off, the entrepreneurs met in person for the first time, with a strong focus on team building and getting to know one another. The session introduced participants to the structure and objectives of the program and included a workshop with VISCHER. The founders also took part in a virtual pitch session, during which each startup was briefly presented to an online audience. Attendees then voted for the team captain, selecting Moritz Futscher, CEO and co-founder of BTRY, to take on the role.

The event also featured a keynote from David Gugelmann, founder, chairman and Co-CEO of Exeon Analytics, a Venture Leaders alumni, who shared his key learnings as an entrepreneur with the Venture Leaders and the audience.

This year's Venture Leaders Mobile is organized by Venturelab with the support of HuaweiSwisscom, and VISCHER
