Can you tell us who your product or solution helps, and how?
Instimatch is a pioneer in connecting treasuries across the world for the digital trading of cash products. We have built the first state-of-the-art web-based trading platform for unsecured cash deposits and repurchase agreements.

What market are you addressing and what is the potential of your startup in that market?
We are a B2B service provider connecting financial and non-financial institutions globally to trade with each other. The addressable market consists of 25,000 banks and 68,000 corporates.

How and where did you come up with the idea for your startup?
The inspiration for our startup originated from the extensive experience of our founder, Hugh Macmillen, who spent over two decades as a voice broker. Recognizing the potential for innovation in the industry, he envisioned a transition from traditional analogue processes to an innovative digital trading platform. This vision drove the inception of our startup, reflecting a commitment to revolutionizing the way business is conducted in the field.
 
What do you expect from the Venture Leaders Fintech roadshow, and how will it help you achieve your vision?
The company just finalized its Pre-Series A round and successfully raised CHF 12.0 million. Nevertheless, funding remains a key management priority. We plan a Series A round in Q4 2025/Q1 2026.

What are your team’s key achievements to date?
Our team has secured the trust and commitment of 270 clients across 31 countries, marking a significant achievement in our global outreach and client engagement efforts.

Is there a key principle or value that guides you as you build your company?
Instimatch is built on the commitment to actively listen to our clients and address their needs. This principle guides our decisions and fuels the creation of solutions that exceed our clients' expectations.

What is the most important lesson you have learned as a founder?
You only win as a team – so try to lead by example.

What is your favourite productivity hack/tool and why?
My favourite productivity tool is Zapier. It stands out to me because it allows for seamless integration between various apps and platforms, automating repetitive tasks and workflows.

What was your dream job when you were a child?
I always wanted to be a tennis star but did not make it.
