Venture Leaders Cleantech 2023: 10 innovative startups will accelerate their growth on Munich roadshow

26.07.2023 06:55, Guillaume Tinsel

An expert jury selected ten Swiss cleantech startups to participate in the Venture Leaders Cleantech program. As the newest members of the Swiss National Startup Team, the innovators will head to Munich for a business development and investor roadshow to accelerate their ventures’ growth and expand their international presence.

In 2022, the Swiss cleantech sector attracted more funding than ever before. In light of the energy crisis and the looming consequences of climate change, mitigating the environmental impacts of industry and consumer economies is critical. Reducing energy consumption, creating more sustainable resource pipelines, and restoring harmed biospheres are vital to this endeavor—as is supporting and investing in innovation that makes such changes feasible.

An expert jury vetted almost 90 applications, selecting the ten most promising Swiss cleantech startups to join the Swiss National Startup Team 2023. The entrepreneurs will take part in a business development and investor roadshow in Munich, which offers valuable opportunities to showcase their solutions and connect with industry experts and investors, allowing them to take the next step in their startups’ international growth.

Join the team’s introduction and online pitch session on August 17th, 2023, and unlock a world of innovation, collaboration, and limitless possibilities in the exciting field of cleantech.

“Addressing the climate and environmental crisis becoming more critical every day" said Jordi Montserrat, co-founder and managing partner at Venturelab,” said Jordi Montserrat, Managing Partner at Venturelab “The quality of the startups illustrates the amazing contribution that Swiss startups can bring to the table, from energy production to greener industrial solutions.”

"One of the best things about the roadshow is really seeing how essential partnerships can be to us; not only because we receive different perspectives and gather different opinions but also as we develop those present and future relationships,” added Saurabh Tembhurne, CEO of SoHHytec and captain of the Venture Leaders Cleantech 2022.

"Having had the opportunity to pitch so many times for different audiences was a great experience for me as a founder and for my company as well," commented Anselma Woerner, CEO of Exnaton and Venture Leader Cleantech 2022.

Venture Leaders Cleantech is organized by Venturelab and supported by EPFL, ETH Zurich, EY, Helbling Technik, Romande Energie, St.Gallisch-Appenzellische Kraftwerke (SAK), Swisscom Ventures, Vaud, and Vischer.
