Venture Leaders Cleantech 2023 convene to kick-off Munich roadshow

22.08.2023 08:00, Rita Longobardi

In October, the ten Venture Leaders Cleantech 2023 will represent Switzerland and pitch their solutions in Munich, Germany. During their weeklong roadshow, the entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to connect with investors, professionals, and key figures within the industry to strengthen their network and advance their global growth. In anticipation of this exciting journey, the founders met in Schlieren to introduce both themselves and their startups through a pitch session that spotlighted their pioneering innovations.

During the kick-off event held at the Startup Space in Schlieren on August 17th, the ten Venture Leaders Cleantech 2023 had the opportunity to learn about each other's innovative ideas, share insights about their entrepreneurial paths up to that point, and present their cleantech solutions. Audience members then voted for the team captain and selected Nicolas Weber, CEO of Voltiris, through a voting process. "I'm truly honoured to lead this exceptional team and showcase our Cleantech potential. Eagerly anticipating the Munich roadshow to engage and learn from fellow innovators!", said Nicolas.

The ten entrepreneurs will take part in a business development and investor roadshow in Munich, which offers opportunities to showcase their solutions and connect with industry experts and investors, allowing them to take the next step in their startups’ international growth.

"The response and quality of the applications received were impressive. With our long experience in supporting cleantech startups, we are excited to further strengthen our commitment. From energy generation to smart material, each startup makes a significant contribution to a cleaner and greener world. This advancement demonstrates the growth prospects of Venture Leaders Cleantech," said Stefan Steiner, Co-Managing Director at Venturelab.

Venture Leaders Cleantech is organized by Venturelab and supported by EPFL, ETH Zurich, EY, Helbling Technik, Romande Energie, St.Gallisch-Appenzellische Kraftwerke (SAK), Swisscom Ventures, Vaud, and Vischer.
