Dimpora is a membrane company focused on creating novel, highly functional membranes for the clothing industry. Protective and outdoor clothing contain a layer, called a functional membrane, that keeps water out and is breathable for the body. The current market-leading technologies in functional membranes are based on hazardous chemicals linked to major environmental and health threats. In addition, the available fluorine-free alternatives in the market are either porous (breathability) or non-porous (reduced breathability at increased waterproofing), so they dont succeed in combining high waterproofing and breathability.
With our pore-forming technology, we developed a fluorine-free and circular membrane out of highly sustainable polymers to replace the current toxic alternatives.
