has been putting smiles
on people's faces one ride at a time."
Can you tell us who your product or solution helps, and how? Our mobility solution,
DAAV-air, helps people with reduced mobility on the go, by providing them with utmost freedom of movement and self-sufficiency, thanks to our navigation and motion systems.
What market are you addressing and what is the potential of your startup in that market?
We are addressing the mobility services market in airports, for people with reduced mobility. It is a massive market of +40B Swiss francs, including 1.2B for only hub and innovative airports which is our focus target.
How and where did you come up with the idea for your startup?
Initially, we just developed a cool motion mechanism with lots of applications from warehouses to entertainment to last-mile transportation. However, after interviewing different people, especially a twin sister who never experienced walking due to MS disease, we were certain that we would use our solution for people with reduced mobility.
What do you expect from the Venture Leaders roadshow, and how do you think it will help you achieve your vision?
All of us at DAAV are excited to see all the meaningful connections we will make during this event. I believe there is a great network of individuals and organizations which are involved and I would like to make the best out of this by presenting our solution Silicon Valley. This would be the beginning of entering the US market.
"Don't give up easily."
What are your team’s key achievements to date?
The greatest achievement has been putting smiles on people's faces one ride at a time. Won’t exchange seeing an excited passenger enjoying our mobility solution before their trip for the world. That is what our team has achieved.
Is there a key principle or value that guides you as you build your company?
People first. Before caring about our product, value proposition, financials, and tech development, we ask ourselves what our users want.
What is the most important lesson you have learned as a founder?
Not to get discouraged or give up easily even if there are ten times more rejections than acceptances.
What is your favorite productivity hack or tool and why?
I have a calendar which includes all my daily activities, even walking my dog is mentioned there. Filling it in for a week ahead, and then reflecting on it every evening makes me feel more in control of the events and not being dragged across the year.
What was your dream job when you were a child?
I have been doing robotics since I was 13 years old! living the dream since then ;) But before that, as a child, I was interested in physics and thought I would do that as my job later on.
