The property portfolio is valued at approximately CHF 21 billion and includes own properties as well as those managed on behalf of third parties. The portfolio covers the densely populated regions of Zurich, Geneva and Basel, where SPS mainly owns properties in prime locations. EXAMPLE OF COLLABORATION: holo|one

The collaboration between Swiss Prime Site and holo|one began in spring 2018. In the context of our Accelerator Workshops, we were looking for dynamic tech start-ups offering Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality solutions. When holo|one pitched their SaaS model to the jury, it quickly became clear that our experts could develop a use case with them. This eventually became the basis for the proof of concept. The Stücki Park in Basel—where Swiss Prime Site Immobilien is constructing four new buildings for the life sciences industry and expanding the rental floor space by 33,000 m2 to over 60,000 m2—was identified as an ideal test site. Here, the startup could test and optimize its software "sphere" under real conditions. As a "validation partners," the experts at Swiss Prime Site made their knowledge and network available during the pilot phase. holo|one benefited from the structural advantages of Swiss Prime Site and gained direct access to the construction site and the relevant stakeholders. And the next step? When collaborating with start-ups, Swiss Prime Site focus on expanding and developing the corporate venture ecosystem. The learning process that the partners have undergone together creates a solid basis for the future implementation of Mixed Reality solutions, as well as resulting in competitive advantages for both parties. The next step is to introduce the product to the market.
